Therapy and Oriental Massage Cupping Therapy
It is the best deep tissue massage available. Cupping
therapy is an ancient Chinese massage method. Vacuum
is created in cups placed on the skin that draws up
underlying tissues. When the cup is rolled up the skin,
or left in place for 5 to 15 minutes, blood stasis is
formed and healing takes place. Cupping therapy causes
tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system
and clear blockages. Even a single treatment shows impressive
and remarkable results.
Cupping
used for massage is the more common form among practitioners
of Western hearling arts. Before applying the cups,
the massage therapist will administer plenty of oil
on the areas to be cupped, to facilitate smooth movement.
Placement of the cups on the area, the therapist will
begin to flide the cups over the skin. The movement
will be smooth without pressing down. Almost all areas
of the body may be worked on including the neck, shoulders,
middle and low back and sacrum. The stomach, hips and
thighs require a gentler massage cupping. |
